Heavyweight: Tom Aspinall
The most exciting fighter in the UFC Heavyweight division is Tom Aspinall. Aspinall has no wins by decisions. All of his fights have come by way of knockout or submission and he is a fighter that shocks you every time he fights. His unbelievable head movement and his undeniable power makes him a box office athlete.
Light-Heavyweight: Jiri Prochazka
This was tough because there is somebody else in the division who just so happens to be the champ who is super exciting as well. I made the decision to go with Prochazka or Alex Pereira because Prochazka is always in danger every second of his fight. With Alex he is more of a sniper rather than a berserker. Jiri fights like he wants to kill his opponent. He truly embraces the samurai spirit.
Middleweight: Khamzat Chimaev
Probably the only grappling heavy fighter you’ll see on this list, Khamzat Chimaev is undoubtedly the most exciting fighter right now at middleweight. His unbelievable pace and his grueling ground n pound is truly a sight to see. Not at any point in his fights is he looking to win by decision. He wants a finish at all times.
Welterweight: Shavkat Rakhmonov
Shavkat Rakhmonov is a very well rounded fighter who seems to have no weaknesses in his game. In 19 fights he has 18 finishes that have all been very scary to watch. He knocks people out cold and he submits them too. There is absolutely nothing he can’t do.
Lightweight: Charles Oliveira
Lightweight was the hardest to choose from because there are so many guys that are must see tv like Michael Chandler, Justin Gaethje, and Dan Hooker. Oliveira was selected because on the road to his title reign, he fought like he needed to prove himself. Then when he won the title he fought because he wanted to be greater than just the champion. He gave fans some of the most memorable moments from his wild comebacks like the Gaethje fight, to now his dominant victories over Beneil Dariush and Michael Chandler.
Featherweight: Max Holloway
The UFC’s very own BMF, although he did win this title at lightweight it is important to note that most of his exciting moments have come from Featherweight. Max Holloway is one of the most precise volume punchers in the entire UFC. He is a guy who always looks to break his opponent down first, then go for the finish. It’s like watching an artist sketch their drawing first and then painting between the lines. When you watch Max Holloway, it’s truly like watching an artist paint.
Bantamweight: Petr Yan
The bantamweight boogeyman’s name is Petr Yan. Yan in my opinion has the best boxing in the entire UFC. He is an unbelievable Muay Thai fighter who always mixes in his creative takedowns from time to time. Petr Yan is coming off two very exciting performances and this begs the question if he deserves the rematch against the champion Merab Dvalishvili.
Flyweight: Manel Kape
The Flyweight’s showman, Manel Kape has served us some great moments in a lot of his fights. His fight against Felipe Dos Santos was very fun and his last fight vs. Bruno Silva had an unbelievable performance in which he delivered his best performance to date. He is an unbelievable fighter with beautiful striking and really creative combos.
Women's Bantamweight: Kayla Harrison
Kayla Harrison has been a great signing for the UFC as she has now beaten Holly Holm and Ketlen Vieira. Harrison has great grappling and Judo which isn’t even her best attribute. Her best attribute is her pure strength as there is no other woman in that division that is as strong as her.
Women's Flyweight: Valentina Schevchenko
Without a doubt Valentina Schevchenko has been an absolute killer. She is literally the women’s Mirko cro cop with her spectacular kicks and her unbelievable striking. She is lightning quick on the feet and now can even mix it up with her takedowns.
Women’s Strawweight: Zhang Weili
Zhang Weili is an absolute robot and a nightmare matchup for everybody in the division. She has freakish power for her size and great technique. With the evolution of her ground game, she looks unbeatable now.
