C Alexandre Pantoja (-285) vs. Kai Asakura (+230)
In the main event we see our dominant Flyweight UFC Champion take on the new incomer, Kai Asakura. Asakura is making his UFC debut but make no mistake, he is a problem to be dealt with. We saw Asakura make weight today and the fight is officially on. Now, Pantoja is a beast and a monster but so is Kai. But tomorrow night I think the grappling of Pantoja will prevail and give him his third title defense.
Prediction: Alexandre Pantoja Submission
Coming up on short notice to replace the champion Belal Muhammad we see the upcoming superstar Ian Machado Garry take on the boogeyman of the division. Rakhmonov has 18 fights and 18 finishes. He has never heard the final bell. On the other hand we see one of the most polished strikers not only at welterweight but in the whole UFC with Garry. Both undefeated superstars look to keep their 0 tomorrow night. As to who I think will come out on top, I think that the wrestling of Rakhmonov will prevail and give him his well earned title shot.
Prediction: Shavkat Rakhmonov Submission
In this heavyweight bout we see the rematch between a more mature Gane facing off against Alexander Volkov who seems to have finally found his stride in the UFC. Ever since coming off of that loss to Tom Aspinall he has won four bouts in a row and has looked very sharp in all four. For Gane this is a very important fight in his career and it seems as though this could be one of his final runs at the title. Gane is probably the best striker in heavyweight as of right now and seems to outsmart a lot of his opponents on the feet. I think we could see this fight being like the first fight as Gane will probably play it safe for the victory.
Prediction: Ciryl Gane Unanimous Decision
#13 Bryce Mitchell (-950) vs. Kron Gracie (+550)
In this featherweight matchup we see the return of Bryce Mitchell who came off the worst KO of his career last year vs Josh Emmett. On the other hand we see a Kron Gracie who didn’t show anything against Charles Jourdain and has lost his last two bouts. I think this simply comes down to who has the better striking in this matchup as I can’t imagine that this fight goes to the ground. In that case I can see Bryce Mitchell securing the victory he needs.
Bryce Mitchell Unanimous Decision
Nate Landwehr (-130) vs. Dooho Choi (+110)
In this featherweight bout we see the exciting Nate Landwehr take on the very talented Dooho Choi. Choi coming off a win in July looks to get back to his old self and pull off the victory against a very dangerous Landwehr. Landwehr who has won four of his last five, by the way in very exciting fashion looks to finally scratch the rankings. I think that this fight will be a barn burner and a great matchup to open up the main card.
Prediction: Dooho Choi: TKO
