#15 Grant Dawson (-250) vs. Diego Ferreira (+205)
The super dangerous Grant Dawson takes on the super dangerous Diego Ferreira. Dawson is coming off a modest 2 fight win streak and knocked out his last opponent. After his loss against Bobby green he has looked every bit of the fighter we thought he could be. Ferreira is also coming off of a 2 fight win streak but in both of those fights he has knocked out both fighters. I think in this fight both of their skill sets are horrible for each other. Ferreira has ferocious KO power while Dawson has great skills on the ground. But you can see the same for both of these fighters. This is probably the hardest prediction to make but I can see the momentum from Grant Dawson and his wrestling prevail in this fight.
Prediction: Grant Dawson via Submission (2nd Round)
Bogdan Guskov (-340) vs. Billy Elekana (+260)
Bogdan Guskov is a force to be reckoned with. In all of his wins they have all come by stoppage. In his UFC debut he faced off against the dangerous Volkan Oezdemir and suffered a loss. After that he knocked out both of his opponents on his way to take on Billy Elekana. Billy Elekana is making his UFC debut on Saturday and he is facing a super dangerous guy. Billy Elekana is 7-1 with 4 finishes and is coming off of a 3 fight winning streak. Elekana is a skilled striker who is super technical. The only downside for him is that he is making his debut against a super dangerous Guskov and has never faced a fighter quite on his level.
Prediction: Bogdan Guskov Knockout (1st Round)
In the heavyweight division these two fighters are looking to potentially crack the top five and with a win this weekend, you can make the argument that they’re both one fight away from a title shot. Since Spivac’s loss to the heavyweight champ Tom Aspinall he came back in a huge way submitting Marcin Tybura in the 1st Round. Almeida is coming off of a win as well (1st Round Submission). Almeida is a phenomenal wrestler but has very sloppy striking and Spivac is very technical everywhere. In this fight a lot of questions will be answered but I do think the wrestling of Almeida will help him a lot in this fight.
Prediction: Jailton Almeida via Unanimous Decision
Payton Talbott (-1200) vs. Raoni Barcelos (+760)
A rising prospect in the bantamweight division Payton Talbott is a serious problem right now. He won every fight he has been in and has only heard the final bell once. When you watch Talbott fight it is truly beautiful to see. On the other side Barcelos is a good striker but the one factor in this fight that doesn’t lean his way is his age of 37. He has seen a significant drop in skill as he has gotten older and doesn’t pack that same punch. I believe Talbott gets it done and fast this weekend
Prediction: Payton Talbott via Knockout (1st Round)
